This guide provides information on how to adapt health and nutrition services to integrate the different nurturing care components to ultimately support caregivers’ nurturing capacity.
Who is it for?
For use by health/nutrition managers and practitioners primarily in the primary health care.
Why is it useful?
- This guide answers two critical questions: (i) What managers can do to better equip service providers to integrate the four components of the NCF as part of their routine services? and (ii) What service providers can do as part of their ongoing contacts with families to provide NC?
- The Guide aims to inspire action and serve as a basis for organizing health services, health facilities, capacity-building of the health workforce, and system strengthening to meet the needs of all children, including those with developmental delays or disabilities, chronic health conditions or living in fragile humanitarian settings.
